Project Description:

ESI was the EPC Contractor for a new pilot plant facility designed to combust various municipal, commercial, and sewage sludges. This facility includes: horizontal furnace/combustor, natural gas and oxygen fuel burner, fuel trains, combustor fan, induced draft fan, stack fan, sludge fuel handling system with injection, combustor cooling water heat exchanger system, wet scrubber with condenser, slag quench system, stack, and all auxiliaries to make a complete operating system. This technology could be used to offset the landfill of sludge while generating heat for steam and power use.
