Biomass Conversion
Throughout our 20 plus years in the steam and power generation industry, ESI’s Steam & Power SPECIAL FORCES® have designed and built numerous biomass-fired steam and power systems. We have also performed several biomass conversion enhancement and life extension projects. These projects typically include the application of several state-of-the-technology modifications including such items as the addition of a water-cooled surface, installation of a complete new fuel delivery system to improve fuel distribution, design and installation of new overfire air systems, and installation of water-cooled stokers. These modifications greatly improve combustion efficiency and steam capacity while simultaneously reducing emission levels and the combustion of more expensive support fuels.
