Modifications to Wood-fired Boiler System
| Owner: Jack Daniel Distillery
Project Location: Lynchburg, Tennessee Project Completion: April 1998 Project Description: ESI was the EPC Contractor for a new wood fuel handling system to improve the operation of the existing boiler plant. This system replaced the existing wood handling and feed system on their two wood-fired boilers. The system is comprised of belt conveyers, drag chain conveyers, twin screw feeders with storage bins, and new Detroit windswept spouts installed lower in the furnace to improve distribution of fuel on the grate resulting in improved efficiency, load swinging capability, higher steaming capacity, and ease of firing waste wood. |
