Project Description:

ESI performed an environmental compliance study for Appleton Papers’ facility in West Carrollton, Ohio. ESI reviewed existing plant data; analyzed current and proposed emissions regulations for NOx, SO2, particulate, mercury, CO, and HCl; evaluated control/reduction technologies for these constituents; and proposed modifications to the facility for meeting future predicted environmental regulations. Once appropriate control technology was selected for each of the facility’s boilers, ESI generated capital cost estimates and equipment specifications for the most viable options.
